I hate jumping on bandwagons and this is NOT what I'm doing in this post.
I'm pointing out bullshit people let come out of their faces because they don't want to face the facts about the history of this country.
Two major issues:
1. The "all lives matter" quip as a response to "black lives matter."
2. Petitions/Assertions that Black Lives Matter should be classified as a hate or terrorist group.
And here goes:
1. You're right all lives do matter. But the problem is that has never been a practice in this country. EVER. Groups of people have been killed for dollars, land, power, and economic rights since this country was founded.
Wake the fuck up and grow the fuck up. Maybe if you were awake in history class you wouldn't let this shit come out of your mouth. Start refreshing your memory by reading A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
The reason why it is necessary to say "black lives matter" is because no one seems to get that they do. The black community has taken up the torch for other minorities in the past or have collaborated for a common goal and have ended up fucked over.
That is why we say black lives matter. Also another reason why we say black lives matter leads to a second point. But it is no fun just to come out and say it. Let's play a game...
2.What organization founded in the mid 1800s killed, raped, castrated, and burnt the homes of US Citizens mostly located in the South?
Hint: They wore white robes.
The Black Lives Matter movement HAS NEVER murdered, raped, mutilated or terrorized any group of people based solely on race. Yet folks seem to think they are dangerous enough to be classified as a terrorist group.
Come on folks, don't be a fucking IDIOT.
The real reason they are dangerous is because they bring attention to a practice that has been going on for decades upon decades.
No, not only black people are being killed. That is not what I am saying. What I am saying is that if folks want to assert that all lives matter THEN LIVE IT! SEE SOMETHING AND SAY SOMETHING. That doesn't just apply to snitching on people stealing cable or claiming dependents that aren't theirs on their taxes. It means seeing discrimination of ANY KIND and saying something. DAMN!
Don't just use it as a quip to get black people to shut up about the blatant continuing injustices they suffer that most turn a blind eye to.
Oh and by the way the Klan has a history of being connected with police departments south of the Mason Dixon and some above. Research it. I bet you'll find something.
