They Call Me Cookie to My Face

  There is this dumb, fake ass bitch at my job has been trying me since I was hired.  She's married, overweight and recently a new mother.  When I was hired, she was pregnant and I thought I would only be at the company until she returned from maternity leave.  Before she left, she made sure to act a complete ass towards me whenever possible.  While training me the Ukraine Russia conflict came up (this was back in the early stages). I made a comment (it was just me and her in the room) generally stating that Russia needs to stop flexing because it is affecting the US economy (and it was because we had to impose shipping fees on our customers etc.). This bitch proceeds to raise her voice and scold me about how people are dying and what not.  I let it go. I didn't say anything to her for 2 reasons:  1. The bitch was so pregnant I didn't want to put her into labor.  2. The bitch was so pregnant she obviously was miserable and cognitively impaired....

I hadn't seen this movie in over 2 decades. When the opening credits began, I felt a deep since of sadness and darkness. I could say it was my sparse memory of the plot and the overall somber mood from the imagery.  I know it was something else. It wasn't until the movie truly began that I was able to identify the source of the sadness.  This being a "cult" film, I knew there would be some disappointments in plot continuity and special effects partially due to the "wholesome" expectations of the time.  Overall it wasn't too disappointing. The story itself is so compelling that no one really cared about the following: 1. How well folded and "pressed" that note looked after Blanche had crumpled it all to hell and threw it out a window when Jane returned it to her.  2.   As I have said before, social media makes people believe that stalking is socially acceptable.  Things have even gotten so serious that hackers are employed to tap into people's microphones on their phones and their cameras.  And the people who engage in this activity somehow feel victimized by what they discover.  They are threatened by private conversations and private plans that don't involve them.  They become obsessed by discovered interests and judge the target by what they consume.  All while the people they really should be monitoring continue to plan and execute diabolical acts without intervention.  It is seldom the people who steal savings, inheritances and identities that are gang stalked and harassed.  It is usually an individual without power and consequence. It is usually a "nobody" that has the nerve to have a dissenting opinion.   ...And the cycle of divide, conquer and oppression continues.  Here are two tips for you ...

I saw a commercial last night that really disturbed me.  A young woman has company over her apartment. She took a break from a group discussion to consult an AI reference on what topics to discuss with her peers.  On the surface, it seemed like an innocent use of technology for someone who finds it hard to carry on conversation in a social setting.  ...but then I thought it about it. I really thought about it. And the more I thought about it the more disturbed I became.  We have AI writing shorty essays with no references in seconds. AI is automating responses that humans used to give. AI is now on the verge of giving diagnoses in hospitals.  I'm not saying technology isn't a good thing. But it is alarming to think that it will become a social norm to no even have to come up with an original thought or topic for a social gathering.   I've been through a lot in my life.  Some of it I had no control over and much of it was due to choices I've made, whether or not I was able to anticipate the consequences.  As I age, I look around me and try not to compare but I do take notice of the some things that I can be happy about not having and those I can appreciate having.  One of them is having a neck. Many of my peers are losing their necks. Some of them due to obesity, others to some strange sort of turtlesque muscular disorder.  And yet others by being assholes. I have a neck. It is defined. It might be a little thick like a boxer's, but its there.  I also only have one chin thus far. I see the skin under my face trying to threaten me but my neck muscles keep them in check.  Thank you Lord for my neck.  Thank you Lord for my functioning joints.  Thank you Lord for my one and only chin.  And last but not least, THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR A YEAR OF SOBRIETY!!!
