I know I'm not the only one tired in the black community with folks trying to pass off abuse as parenting. I also already know the maxim "Spare the rod spoil the child" inspired by Proverbs 13:24. There is also Ephesians 6:2-4. Proverbs 13:24: " He who spares the rod   hates   his son,   but he who loves him   disciplines him   diligently ." Ephesians 6:2-4: " 2 “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),  3 “that   it may go   well with you   and that   you may have   a long life   on   the earth.”   4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Please pay attention to the last verse I quoted in Ephesians. I'm tired of this "no shame" shit. You call someone out for being over weight you're "fat shaming." If you point out a flaw in someone's body you are "body shaming." I hate jumping on bandwagons and this is NOT what I'm doing in this post. I'm pointing out bullshit people let come out of their faces because they don't want to face the facts about the history of this country. Two major issues: 1. The "all lives matter" quip as a response to "black lives matter." 2. Petitions/Assertions that Black Lives Matter should be classified as a hate or terrorist group. And here goes: 1. You're right all lives do matter. But the problem is that has never been a practice in this country. EVER. Str8 to the point. 1. Having children might make you a better person. -What? ok first of all, are you on the slick trying to call me a bad person? Second, that is a dumbass and truly selfish reason to have children. I should have children so that it will make ME  a better person instead of possibly making the world a better place. Smart. 2. I was talking with a friend the other day. Really intelligent guy. He has a 7 year old nephew who is having problems concentrating in school. So like every other kid who can't sit still a psychiatrist has suggested he has ADHD and prescribed medication. While I find this disturbing I am no longer surprised. It seems like everyone has ADD, ADHD, PTSD, and OPP. Wait, that last one though. Anyway what set off alarms was when  he went on to say that his 7 year old nephew was also diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. And another one. Yes. Another over-diagnosed and mis-understood MOOD DISORDER. Not to be confused with Multiple Personality Disorder which is now called Dissociative Identity Disorder and is a DISSOCIATIVE DISORDER (meaning one breaks from reality by producing personas). Everyone has their posts or blogs about haters. How they really admire you and all of that. There are alot of children in this country going hungry, being neglected and severely abused. A good many of them are in my family. There seems to be a major hush hush about it in certain communities. Some of it can be attributed to matrial piety ( i just made this term up) but I will address that in another and more raw post. Today I saw and read an article on a father and son video on face book. The father was disciplining his son about respecting his elders. In a boxing match he busted his lip and bloodied his nose. He didn't die or need medical attention.While it is juvenile and short sighted to post the ordeal on face book I cannot deny that a good punch in the face sometimes does the trick.
